Proper hydration is not just about drinking water. You need to replenish the body with adequate electrolytes. I sweat a lot. It’s what I do. And the more I sweat, the more salt I need to add back in. Electrolytes are critical for mental and physical performance, regulating fluid balance, producing energy, and supporting strong bones. The average person is not getting enough of them. If you add a top-of-the-game training schedule to that, well, you are really going to need more salt.

Much of my mental & physical strength comes from learning how to turn that feeling of defeat into hunger. Replenishing your body works the same way. Sweat is a signal to add electrolytes back into your body. Salt is the fuel your body is craving.
