One study even showed that a loss of 2% of body weight due to dehydration can impact everything from athletic performance to your mood, memory, and ability to focus. No matter who you are, staying properly hydrated is a cornerstone habit that will benefit how you feel each day and your long-term health.

When we think about hydration, water immediately comes to mind. But being hydrated is not as simple as just drinking a ton of water. In fact, overwatering can even lead to serious problems, such as hyponatremia. When we drink too much water, we dilute our blood sodium levels, which can cause unpleasant symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, mood swings, and muscle cramps.

The takeaway is this: drink to thirst - and don’t forget to replace electrolytes. Many of my clients drink plenty of water, but forget about electrolytes. Not only will this help eliminate dehydration symptoms like headaches and muscle cramps, it’s essential for keeping our brain, muscles, and organs functioning properly.

How I incorporate hydration into my life

It has helped so much with my energy levels while eating a lower-carb, mostly carnivore diet. Since my diet is so low in sodium, it replenishes the vital electrolytes and minerals that I so desperately need. My clients who are mineral deficient have also benefited from LMNT - I’ve seen their energy and pain symptoms improve dramatically when adding a packet into their daily routine.

On top of all that, LMNT has been an absolute game changer for my adventurous and active lifestyle.
